Hit and run penalties have been increased and increased and still people flee the scene and commit the felony of hit and run on human. 1000 are killed and another 18,000 are injured and left to die but somehow survive. Why do the flee? Maybe they were cheating on their wife or husband. Maybe they were an illegal alien or had warants on them for other stuff. Maybe they were dui or dwi or on drugs. Maybe they were Laura Bush and did not need bad pr and went for it. The point is that in many cases there are passengers in such vehicles. We must make them do thier civic of calling 911. This could even be done anomously . If they are illegal we could even give them a pass. The idea is to save the innocent. Many drivers have several previous DUI convictions or may be on a revoked license. so they are not going to stop. Only a passenger can call with less downside. Yes they may lose a friend, but do your really want a friend who would leave another human to die like an animal on the side of the road?
